Customer product data is used to deliver compliance workflows — not sold. TLS in transit, least-privilege access, and security reviews. We do not claim SOC 2 or ISO here until formally achieved. Not a Halal certification product. Report issues to security@taama.ai.

How privacy is governed at Taama

Taama does not publish a separate standalone Privacy Policy document today. Data protection and privacy are governed by Clause 10 (Data Protection and Privacy) of our Terms and Conditions (/terms), together with Clause 6 (Customer Data and Inputs).

If this page and the Terms ever conflict on privacy topics, the Terms control — and if we later publish a separate Privacy Policy, that Privacy Policy will take precedence for the matters it covers (see Terms Clause 10.12).

This page is a plain-language summary for website visitors. It is not a substitute for the binding Terms.

Who this covers

Taama is a B2B platform. The Services are intended for businesses and professionals (brands, retailers, consultants), not consumers. If you use Taama, you do so for business / professional purposes.

What data we process

Depending on how you interact with us, Taama may process:

• Account and contact data — name, work email, company, role, billing contacts, demo-booking details
• Customer Data you upload — product specs, formulas, labels/artwork, claims copy, dossiers, certificates, and related files needed to run compliance checks
• Usage / telemetry — logs and operational data needed to run, secure, and support the Platform
• Communications — emails and support conversations you send us

Please do not upload personal data about children under 18.

How we use data

We use data to:

1. Provide, maintain, secure, and support the Platform and Services
2. Generate decision-support Output (compliance assessments, reports, alerts)
3. Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
4. Improve product quality and accuracy — including AI models — in aggregated and/or de-identified form unless you opt out of identifiable training use (Terms Clause 6.5)
5. Meet legal obligations

We do not sell personal data.

Your role vs Taama’s role

Under the Terms, you (the Customer) are the controller for personal data you submit; Taama acts as processor for that processing. You are responsible for lawful collection, notices to individuals, and handling data-subject requests about data you submit.

International transfers and sub-processors

Taama may process and transfer data internationally (including to the United States) and may use Affiliates and third-party sub-processors to run the Service. Details and Customer responsibilities are in Terms Clauses 10.4–10.5.

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, operate the business, and meet legal requirements, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (Terms Clause 10.3 / 10.8).

Security (summary)

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the Service. See our Security & Trust (/security) page for the public overview. Account credentials and your own systems remain your responsibility (Terms Clause 10.11).
