Thailand compliance for food, beverage and supplement brands

Thai FDAMOPHFood Act
The regulatory framework

Food, beverages and supplements in Thailand are regulated by the Thai FDA under the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), with supplements treated as a category of food under the Food Act B.E. 2522. Most products require a food serial number before market entry, and foreign manufacturers must hold a valid GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, IFS, BRC or FSSC 22000 certificate. Thailand updated labelling requirements for certain processed foods in 2025.

On roadmap

Thailand's positive ingredient lists and mandatory food serial number requirement trip up food, beverage and supplement brands entering from AU and SG.
