Taama, an AI-powered regulatory compliance platform for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, has been named a finalist for the 2026 NutraIngredients Asia Awards Startup Award.

Taama is one of just three companies shortlisted for the Start-Up Award, alongside HiveEnergy Sports Gel and Longevity Life Sciences. The 2026 NutraIngredients Asia Awards attracted a record 256 entries across 17 categories, more than 30% higher than the previous year.

For Taama, the recognition comes at an important point in our company’s journey.

Taama was founded around a simple observation: bringing a product to market should not require teams to spend weeks piecing together regulatory information from different sources, markets, and spreadsheets.

Yet this remains the reality for many growing CPG companies.

As brands expand across borders, regulatory requirements around ingredients, claims, labeling, and product registration become increasingly complex. For smaller and emerging brands in particular, regulatory teams are often working with limited resources while being expected to move faster than ever.

Taama is building tools to change that. Our platform helps CPG companies assess products against market-specific regulatory requirements, review labels, and streamline compliance workflows. By bringing regulatory intelligence and product-level context into a single workflow, Taama aims to help teams identify potential issues earlier and move from product development to commercialization faster.

The NutraIngredients Asia Startup Award recognizes emerging companies demonstrating innovation, commercial potential, scalability, and the ability to address unmet needs in the nutrition and supplement industry.

For us at Taama, the nomination also reflects a broader shift underway in the CPG industry: regulatory compliance is increasingly becoming a technology problem.

With cross-border e-commerce making it easier for brands to enter new markets, companies need to understand regulatory requirements earlier in the product lifecycle — not only when a product is ready to launch. Taama believes AI can help make that process faster, more proactive, and ultimately more scalable.
